Fun! What better way to get things moving in life than having some fun? A group at work has been participating in an event to raise money for Prostate Cancer Research called “Movember” It is a simple idea of growing a mustache starting on November 1 until November 31 and along the way asking people to donate money to the cause.
What I think is ingenious is that this is an incredible marketing technique.
What better way to start a conversation in the office, at your local club or amongst family members and get talking about this cause…
"Are you trying to grow a mustache?"
and the punchline…
"Will you support me by making a donation?".
It is a heck of a lot of fun and it does not cost a penny. If you are trying to accomplish a goal at work, in your business, or with a particular cause the communities that you belong to can be a tremendous support. Here is a question that you can ponder. How can you have fun promoting yourself, business or cause and create a conversation that can lead to your punchline?
